VIGGO ROGNES
Viggo Rognes is a Norwegian alpinist, climber and adventurer currently attempting to be the first Scandinavian to complete the Volcanic Seven Summits.
On Viggos list of remarkable achievements you’ll find solo ascents of Pico de Orizaba (5636M), Damavand (5609M) and Elbrus (5642M). Viggo has also summited Kilimanjaro (5895M) in only 4 days, without the help of porters on the route.
When he’s not enjoying high altitude, Viggo spends his time juggling between his work as a COO of a small retail chain, adventuring with his four kids, and exploring and training in the countless steep mountains of Norway – in all kinds of weather and conditions.
Viggo has lived and worked in Thailand, Sri Lanka and Sweden as well as Norway, and has travelled to more than 50 countries. It’s safe to say that Viggo’s life encompasses a holistic world view, making room and time for meeting new and old friends on his journeys, as well as soaking in the culture and nature wherever he goes.
